The American Cancer Society offers several ongoing programs for patients and caregivers in our area.

Free Wigs & Prostheses
Location: American Cancer Society Savannah Office
Free wigs, hats, prostheses and other items are available for patients undergoing cancer treatment. The Patient Services Room is location your local American Cancer Society office. Stop by our office between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Call 912.355.5196 for directions.

Road to Recovery: Transportation Assistance
Are you having trouble getting to your cancer treatments?
Are you too ill to drive yourself?
Is your family finding it difficult to leave work to help?
If you answered “Yes”, then the American Cancer Society may be able to help you receive free or low-cost Transportation Assistance.

Reach to Recovery: A Peer Support Program for Breast Cancer Patients
Trained, breast cancer survivors provide one-on-one support for women throughout their breast cancer journey, from biopsy to treatment to survivorship.
You will also receive a free kit which includes:

  • information about your treatment,
  • a pillow to comfort you after surgery, &
  • a temporary prosthesis (if needed).
